Starting in Summer of 2026, Dustin is a newly awarded trainee on the Chemical Biology Interface Training Grant (CBITG) - T32. He is one of 12 trainees funded by this T32. Dustin's work will characterize drug-induced dimerization and paradoxical activation of the oncogenic BRAF mutation L597R. This project is co-mentored by Daniel Harki in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, who will mentor Dustin in chemical synthesis of BRAF inhibitor analogs to further elucidate the features of an inhibitor's chemical structure responsible for driving dimerization and paradoxical activation of BRAF.

Congratulations, Dustin!!
